I started creating silhouettes as a personal art project for my home. I have a treasured digital snap of my daughter, taken in a colour-filled indoor play area. I think I saw past the colourful balls to a certain inner playfulness coupled with a sweet femininity that I knew I could capture better as artwork.

paperbean design works with you to choose one from your favourite photo of your loved one... and then turn it into custom artwork for you walls or as a gift for family members!

Capturing silhouettes of loved ones at particular stages in life for me seem like capturing imprints of THEIR lives on OURS.

How I work:

  • 1. Contact me
  • 2. Choose a few photos you might like to see as artwork. Often I do find simple photos, candid shots work best.
  • 3. You might not know what I look for in a great silhouette... (let's be honest, neither can I!) But please, trust me.
  • 4. I'll provide you with a quote. This depends on framing options, sizes, and medium. As you browse my work below, you'll see I've got one printed onto canvas... so that's a great option for you to consider as well!
  • 5. Once you approve the quote and provide me with 25% deposit, we start discussing colour options. Either I surprise you, or you provide me with a range.
  • 6. I should have something ready to mail in about 2.5 weeks!
